About James

I have worked as a Lighting Designer for hundreds of events in the wedding and corporate event industry since I moved to New England from Michigan in 2018. I started professionally lighting up dance floors, and quickly was drawn towards the disco ball as a lighting design tool.

In 2022 I was hired by a creative arts and events company, Thousand Deep, to be the Lighting Designer for “Where In The Woods” at Bonnaroo Music Festival. I had the pleasure of lighting up "The Illuminator": the largest disco ball in the United States (measuring a whopping 24′ in diameter!). I also positioned spotlights on mirrored disco creatures in addition to programming colored lighting throughout the trail.

Also in 2022, I became Lighting Designer for the Boat Cruise Summer Series, providing lighting design on a sunset ferry boat cruise in the Boston harbor for major DJs such as Alok, Vintage Culture, Claptone, Loud Luxury, and others. This really helped me take my experience with ChamSys MagicQ (our Lighting Design software) to the next level with stage lighting.

In 2023, I started my company and am pleased with the success I've had so far. My dream is to be at a point where I'm able to help couples and clients with lighting their weddings and events every week of the year.

My wide array of experience allows me to see different lighting possibilities and make the appropriate design recommendations based on your needs.
