About James

James has worked as a Lighting Designer for numerous events in the wedding and corporate event industry since 2018 when he was hired as a technician with Boston Event Lighting. The events industry introduced him to professionally lighting dance floors and with it: lighting up disco balls.

In 2022 James was hired by a creative arts and events company, Thousand Deep, to be the Lighting Designer for “Where In The Woods” at Bonnaroo Music Festival. James traveled down from Manchester, NH to Manchester, TN and lit up The Illuminator, the largest disco ball in the United States (measuring a whopping 24′ in diameter!). He was in charge of lighting design for the entire trail, and positioned spotlights on mirrored disco creatures in addition to programming colored lighting throughout the trail.

James has also been hired to light the Boat Cruise Summer Series, providing lighting design on a ferry boat cruise in the Boston harbor for major DJs such as Alok, Vintage Culture, Claptone, Loud Luxury, and others.
